Movies Inspire. I know many people discuss how the movie industry is dying. And it might be so. But the art form of cinema transformed culture in ways that one cannot overstate. It’s the power of cinema to move, inspire, and even challenge our views of culture to move us to great moments of kindness and compassion. Movies might be dead. It’s possible we will only have event films or ones better told from a soapbox. But even art can have its renaissance. I do not think film making has died, necessarily. (Although more voices in cinema might be good.) I believe movies have the ability to transform themselves. But to do that, it must recognize what made films great in the first place.
